The Central Texas Chapter in conjunction with the City of College Station will be offering training on The Art and Mechanics of Jury Trial by Judge Edward J Spillane, III on July 14, 2010, from 10 am to 12 pm. College Station Municipal Court, 300 Krenek Tap Road, Room 203, College Station, TX 77840. You will receive 2 hours certification credit. The Texas Court Clerks Association is hosting its Annual Conference in Southlake on October 3 - 6, 2010, at the beautiful Hilton Hotel. Registration is $200 for Regular Members and $250 for Non-Regular Members due by August 13, 2010. 20 hours of certification credit will be given for attending this Conference. Hotel reservations will need to be made directly with the Hilton at $149 per night at (800)445-8667. CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE: TCCA Conference Certification Credit hours: TCCA will award 20 hour certificates only to those clerks who attend all of the educational sessions and the annual business meeting at the TCCA Conference. Clerks who chose not to attend an educational session or the business meeting will not receive a certificate. TCCA board members will monitor attendance during the educational sessions and the business meeting. This will be done in an effort to address concerns brought to the board regarding attendance requirements. Certificates will be awarded at the end of the conference. Clerks must be present to claim their certificate and clerks who did not attend all of the educational sessions and the business meeting will not receive a certificate.
