2011 TCCA CONFERENCE NEWS!!
The 2011 Waco TCCA Conference has been very successful!! Thank you to the Great City of Waco, the Waco Municipal Court, and the Central Texas Chapter for a wonderful Conference. At this year's business meeting our first electronic election results were released. Please see the results below:

Proposed Bylaw Amendments:
Amendment #1: Allows TCCA to provide newsletter and membership listing in methods other than just mail. (PASSED)
ARTICLE IV - MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
C. Sustaining Membership. Vendors may apply for Sustaining Membership of the Texas Court Clerks Association. Sustaining Members are entitled to receive copies of the association newsletter as well as a copy of the Association’s current membership list. Copies of the Association newsletter and membership lists will be mailed provided to the representatives indicated in the Sustaining Membership application.
Amendment #2: Allows TCCA Board to use email instead of mail. (PASSED)
ARTICLE VI - DUTIES OF OFFICERS

The Treasurer shall present a proposed line item budget for the next fiscal year to the membership at the Annual Meeting. A simple majority of members present shall be deemed sufficient to adopt said budget. The Board of Directors shall be authorized to perform a line item transfer, providing the transfer does not result in exceeding the overall budget. Any realized line item overage shall require the Treasurer to submit a revised budget for Board approval as stated above. This may require Board approval by email. There shall be a full compliance review of all books and records of the Association each year. IRS tax forms shall be completed in compliance with current Federal law.
Amendment #3: Removes “Texas Municipal League Representative” as Member of Board of Directors since that is duplicated because it is a duty in the Job Description of the Vice-President. (PASSED)
ARTICLE VII - BOARD OF DIRECTORS
1. Composition. The Board shall consist of the President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer of the Association, Texas Municipal League Representative, six Directors at Large, the immediate past President, and the President of each Chapter who shall be elected as hereinafter provided.
Amendment #4: Housekeeping adding “committee” and adds the Historian and Vendor Committee to the bylaws. (PASSED)

4. Bylaws Committee.
5. Nominations Committee. The Committee shall prepare and distribute nominations for officers and members of the Board of Directors of this Association prior to the Annual Meeting to permit circulation of the Committee's nominations to all the members of the Association. Nominations and ballots may be submitted by mail or electronically. The list of members as disclosed by the Recording Secretary's membership committee chairperson’s records shall be conclusive as to the total membership of this Association.

18. Historian Committee. The Historian Committee shall be responsible for preserving the history of the Texas Court Clerk’s Association by collecting various articles, documents, and photos regarding the Association’s activities and placing them into scrapbooks, photo albums and/or electronic storage equipment. The Historian is responsible for storing and maintaining all association scrapbooks, photo albums and electronic media.
19. Vendor Committee. The Vendor Committee shall serve as a liason between the Annual Meeting Committee Chairperson and TCCA vendors. The Vendor Committee shall be responsible for recruiting Sustaining Members, vendor conference registration and vendor exhibit logistics.
