Question: How do I know if I am eligible to be a TCCA Regular Member?
Answer: If you are a full or part-time employee of a Municipal or Justice of the Peace Court you may be eligible to apply to become a Regular Member of the Texas Court Clerks Association.
Question: Where do I get an application to become a Member?
Answer: Applications are available on this website by visiting the MEMBERSHIP PAGE and downloading the application.
Question: How long is my membership good for?
Answer: Memberships are renewed annually and are valid from January to December.
Question: I understand there is a State Level and a Local Chapter Level for the TCCA. When I pay my Regular Membership dues which level do I become a member of?
Answer: There is only one membership application and dues for both levels. Upon paying your dues and your application for Membership is approved, you become a member of both the State and Chapter Level.
Question: Does the TCCA offer any educational programs that may help me in my education and possible advancing me from my current job position?
Answer: The TCCA partnered with TMCEC, TMCA, and Texas State University, have created an educational development program. Please visit the CLERK CERTIFICATION PAGE to get more information on how this program may benefit you.
Question: Does the TCCA offer classes or continued educational hours to assist me in maintaining my Clerk’s Certification?
Answer: The TCCA hosts an annual Conference that is approved for 20 continued educational hours. In addition, each chapter hosts continued educational hours at their local chapter meetings. These educational hours are posted on this website on the EDUCATION PAGE.
Question: When reviewing the Education Page a chapter I am not a member of is hosting educational hours. Can I attend their training even though I am a member of a different chapter?
Answer: Yes, you can attend any chapters educational train even if you are not a member of that specific chapter.
