Municipal Court Deputy Clerk/Accounting Technician

The City of Richland Hills, Texas (pop. 8,600) is seeking  Municipal Court Deputy Clerk/Accounting Technician. This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties in support of the City’s Municipal Court and Finance Department functions. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented, collaborative and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Requirements

This position requires a High School diploma and two years of customer service, with Municipal Court and/or accounting experience preferred. Possession of an appropriate, valid Texas driver's license. Possession of a Certified Municipal Level I Court Clerk Certificate preferred. Texas Crime Information (TCIC)/Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS): complete training within six months of start date. Criminal Justice System Information Services (CJIS) “Security Awareness Training”: complete training within six months of start date.

Compensation

Starting range is $38,506.00 to 48,132.00, depending on qualifications. Hours are flexible and may include weekends. Additional benefits include: TMRS - 7% match 2 to 1; Medical, dental, life insurance and long-term disability at no cost to employee; in addition, the city provides optional benefits such as: dental, 457 deferred compensation, flexible spending; and provides vacation and sick leave, and 10 paid holidays.
